I'm really wondering though... why would Sarah tell Taylor about John, yet not tell Kyle or Derek? Wouldn't Kyle knowing about John make him more likely to be the dedicated soldier that would one day follow him? Also begs the question if Taylor was always so batshit, or if he was once sane enough to actually tell the tale to. Or if he found out through more worry inducing means... Argh! It'll be forever till we know! Curse you for having a real life and not writing fic every second of every day!(PS: Only for you do I entertain the idea that Cam might be in John Henry's body. I was rewatching The Good Wound today and it really struck me how convincingly Sarah could lie by using the truth. So that's where I'm going with the whole Taylor bit. Sarah can be one hell of a manipulator when she wants and it's through half-truths and letting people hear what they want to hear.

As for her telling Kyle about John ... eh. Kyle's a whole other ballgame (And I have a whole other take on what this Kyle needs or doesn't need to know thanks to life_on_queen). Whatever manipulations Sarah might be able to pull off with other people, I think all bets are off with Kyle. She's too transparent with him so I think the only way she could feel like she was protecting herself with him would be to keep certain silences.

Only for you do I entertain the idea that Cam might be in John Henry's body. I try not to think about that possibility much since fandom has jaded me as a whole and the idea is such a quick step away from slashLOL!!! Oh, never worry.
