the draft was when the government called on all those over 17 (but only male) to join their country and fight in the world war...it was only instated when extra troops were needed and if you didnt want to go you had to pay like 200 quid which was alot in those days to get out of it and you were presented with a white feather at a random time usually in the town infront of everyone to shame you and let everyone around you kno that you were a coward.....er..i mean...i dont kno wtf the draft is *shifty look*
