Fall is coming, can ya smell it? I LOVE that smell, and feel, and pretty much everything about it. Maybe I'm just crazy, but there really is something in the air around this time of year and it sends me into fits of mental pleasure

I look forward to fall a lot too. It's the smell! As you've said, that smell is glorious; crisp, cool, like a drink from a fresh spring, maybe some wood smoke wafting through the falling leaves. Mulled cider, cinnamon donuts. A flagon of mead. Severed heads taken in the summer battle season displayed proudly on the hearth. A warm woman to be a balm in bed, healing your wounds with her tender attentions. Makes a man want to puff out his chest and grab a deer going at a full run and bite into its hindquarters, blood spraying all over the leafy forest floor. Yes, fall is a man's season. Manly men, doing man things.

It tastes like apples. They are fall.

..and it smells like leaves, the dry dead ones that lay all over and when they get wet the bottom part stays wet 'cause the top ones don't let the sun shine on the bottom.
