Most of my dreams, like this one, are lucid, but I was afraid to say that before in case it would jinx it.

I enjoy hearing about dreams like that. The experience of reading your story was enhanced by listening to a song called 9th & Hennepin by Tom Waits. It gave your dream a very eerie feel, especially at the end.
