When I went to Korea (which I won't bother explain further, because based on the preceding message, I can infer that you read all about it, hehe) Jeremy had this phone service that could call the States for free. He kept calling all these people whom I knew, or had known, but didn't particularly want to talk to, yet he kept calling them then saying "I have a surprise for you! I have a special guest here who wants to talk to you!" all while I'm mouthing "No, no, stop!" A whole lotta awkwardness ensued. But that's actually got very little to do with the point of this story (and I swear I had one...) One night he calls Mike Wilkinson. Now Mike and I have usually had some amount of mutual respect for one another (although there have been times when even that has faded) but we're seldome "friends." Sometimes we're grab-a-cup-at-PJs buddies, but I haven't talked to him in AGES and I hardly have anything to say to him on the phone. So Jeremy puts me the phone, and since he'd only identified me as a "special guest," I decided to not ( ... )
