It took me a full year to comfortably find my niche in the West GA world, it'll happen. Barnes & Noble sounds like a pretty tight job, is it the one on Barrett or 120 (im kind of bad with the roads)?
yeah, but if it takes me an entire year to make friedns I won't have much time to spend with them before I go off to school again. It's the store on 120 you did just fine with the roads. :)
Making friends out in the big wide world can be hard..
And if you're like me you might have some co-worker friends, but you’re not really close to them. There are a few folks around the office that I’m ‘friendly’ with, but I don’t really confide in them. I will talk with them at work, and it’s good to have a friend at staff functions. But these are not the people that I go out to party with. My personal friends don’t intermingle with my work friends, and I think that’s good.
Now for finding personal friends, it helps to find some ‘interest groups’. Like, I’ve met a lot of good people in the larp community, and a few from going to parties and raves. (Surprisingly, even a couple of these friends were found in both circles!)
But even still, I’m slow to get to know people, so I know that finding good-true friends takes time.. so hang in there... have hope!
Oh.. and I’m local if you’re looking for support...
