DIY or PYTDIFM?

I think I might just be bad at soldering, or something.

My 555 noisemusick maker kit has a short in it causing the 555 chips to heat up to near-death levels of hotness. Not good.

I want to use it tomorrow, but don't know what I can do to fix it.

keep it away from anything flammable! i haven't tried soldering, so i can't help you there.
