by the way my delegates are cheeseballs and we're a day late on turning in position papers..how do you think that will affect us if at all? grr

haha ouch
ummm we'll still grade them of course but I just don't think you'll be eligible for any research awards (which does NOT mean you're not eligible for overall awards, research paper grades are not accounted for in overall grades that determine if you get an award or not, if that made any sense)
When did you send them? Honestly I don't think we would notice when we got late position papers, we have so many and we're grading them and everyhing and it's so hectic we probably wouldn't notice.
