Definitely one of those bands where there's really no middle ground. I like 'em, mostly because they're just a bunch of dudes playing crunchy bar-rock, not so much because of Craig Finn's "singing".

I agree totally. I think people like them because they're kind of comforting, they're like any bar band you'd find in any US city. I guess I prefer to hear that kind of thing in an actual bar rather than on a record. I hear their shows are pretty amazing but I really can't stand the lead singers voice.
