i am not a good musician. not only that, but i'm a failure in most other aspects of my life as well.

sometimes you have to give up
believing you'll be mourned
to truly keep alive
forward motion can't be trusted
when there are more than two dimensions

sometimes stagnation
is a curse, and not an option
cause when you know you've tried your best
there really is no better
so sit or stand a mile
and you'll save yourself a
thousand backward steps
do not trust in forward motion
one more step and you will be...

you come expected

you cannot take a bad idea away
from someone who didn't have it
it was only given
and is waiting
to be spit along again

after years of looking up
it's hard to tell if you're still moving
as the parallax and parallel
fall out of definition
and the only solid proof you have of
passage of the time
is the sound of voices growing thin
and more and more behind
but you relax and leave yourself
convinced that it's okay
that every other person has a
chance to feel this way

something round among angles
one flaw in the edge of the blade
just a clot in the mainstream
just a sight of the sky
to make room for more rain

if this death is proof of god,
at least you know he's there...?
