I had angst about (potentially) losing my precious university programming assignments and randomly accumulated files. Since I'm living a desktop-less home-life these days, I chose to avert disaster by purchasing some server space to dump it all on.

I notice I can still login to student.cs today. Wonder when they remove the accounts?

I think Engineering keeps your account for a year (if I remember correctly), but I have no idea about CS or ECE. I think r3lai's account has been gone from student.math for awhile now, and he's been gone for almost a year.

student.cs sticks around for two terms, so it'll disappear mid-December. ECE is anyone's guess...

My UNIX-fu isn't always what it should be. I'd probably do something not as fancy, like make a bzipped tarball in /tmp and then transfer it by scp.
