Hard Drives and Ordered Lists

My laptop hard-drive lost its mind last week. The laptop is still under warranty via Best Buy Canada, so I gave 1-800-BEST-BUY a call and tried to explain the sit-yee-ation. There's nothing that confuses people more than finding out I have dealings with their store in some parallel universe known as Canada. My call progression was as follows:

Ah! If you have ordered your HDD from newegg when I suggested it last week, you would have made this post on your laptop! : o
However, you do save yourself $100, and in addition, costing BestBuy hundreds of dollars of services and labour! : p

I had the same problem with my laptop - harddrive failure. I bought it at Best Buy USA and tried to service at Best Buy Canada. I just paid out of pocket and still have to send the Americans the bill and hope that they cover the costs.
