Last week crazycrazy posted a tale of lamb woe and salvation. The post made me hungry and gave me a serious case of lamb-envy... so this weekend I did my own rack of lamb. Unfortunately I'm not so artistic at plating:
Technically, you can keep them all, it just makes you look quaint.
My style guide says only "lamb-envy" and "store-bought" pass high-falutin' muster. "Mixed-green" is on the fence for me; instinctually, I'd say no, but to really avoid ambiguity, one could say "a salad of mixed greens".
That's enough pedantry for one day, I think, and it's not even lunchtime yet.

Good looking lamb, though.

Which ones are unnecessary?
1) lamb-envy (lamb envy)
2) olive-oil (olive oil)
3) rack-o-lamb (rack o' lamb)
4) bell-pepper (bell pepper)
I'm thinking that "store-bought", "mixed-green" and "freshly-chopped" are all pretty valid.

If I'd know this was going to turn into a contest, I'd have taken a photo of the nicely rare roast beef I cooked last night.

Though I'm sure it was a nice roast. :)

I only did roast beef last night as I realized it had been nearly 3 years since I last cooked one.
