so to make a long story short the school district screwed me out of a lot of money and in order to avoid falling into a black hole of debt death while i'm fighting the good fight i've taken on a second job as a waitress and i'm a little terrified about it

This was a big thing for me, especially since I worked at a seafood restaurant and I am allergic to most of what i sold. But you really, really, dont touch the food very often. I mean, you never touch it before you give it to the customer, and then after you try and just try and touch the sides of the plate. I never got that close to it the whole summer i worked.

ASK QUESTIONS. it's a lot better to make the customer wait for two seconds while you find out ingredients, etc. than to give them something they dont want. While you're "new" try and learn as much as you can (theres no such thing as a stupid question), and watch the experienced girls. I waitressed for years, and i was pretty good at it (especially in tips), so feel free to call me and ask me anything.

I've never worked retail so I have no advice :( just be careful with burning yourself out. I think I've been doing that to myself and that's why I've been getting sick so much. So as basic as it sounds, drink lots of water and get as much sleep as possible.

I don't think I'm ready for all the glittery goodness... ohhbaby.
