Actually, she's off the Percoset except for night time (so she can get a solid night's sleep), and has been downgraded to Vicodin for the day. Honestly, I don't think she needs anything that strong even, unless we're out and about. She goes about 7 hours without needing a pill, so

I think it's pretty normal to freak out about the ones we love when they're in pain, even if you know rationally that they're adults and are fully capable of taking care of themselves. Doctor's offices and hospitals in particular are just very nerve-wracking places, because there's this mental connection of illness and injury that we all have with them, even if their job is to fix those things.

Hooray for progress, and hooray for affordable payment plans. Don't feel bad for being worried and being a paranoid mess. It happens to pretty much everyone. I mean, not me, but, you know, everyone else ;)
