I've been quiet lately, because I've been trying to sort out how I feel about NightCry to write a review. I've gotten myself so mixed up on the title that I have no idea what to say. Nothing's obliging me to write a review, of course, but I feel the need to put a capper on the experience. I need closure

My name is Sandra and I hope it's ok I'm writting this through the comments section, since I didn't find another way to do it. If it's out of place I'm sure you can delete somehow, I guess?
I've seen on Tumblr that you had read some Baten Kaitos doujinshi which you ordered from Otaku Republic (I think one at least? I'm not sure). I went to their webside, but not a single result came up after I searched for Baten Kaitos. So I wondered what were you got yours from? I'd love to "read" them (or simply look at the artstyle) and wondered if you tell me where you got yours from? And how many did you read all together? It sounded like you had several different ones, which sounds awesome!
Thank you in advance for your answer! I really love the game and really hope they're going for a third game sometime!
And I really like your blog too - you seem like a genuinly nice person! And who doesn't like a fellow gamer?
Have a nice day!
Sandra

I have two Baten Kaitos doujinshi right now: The Strongest Queen Legend Vol. 1 by Yukuga Watashiga (which is the source of the pic here) and Midori Ritou's Owaranai Moe to Ushinawareta Koi, which is a collection of short gag stories and the source of these pics here. Ritou's book is better, I think - it has more polished art, though the humor is kind of broad. Watashiga's book I...actually haven't read cover to cover (I'll have to rectify that), but it's part of a humorous story about Xelha pursuing Kalas romantically, while being unusually strong and upsetting gender norms because she's from a country run by women. The art isn't as good, though - not that it's bad, mind. These two are generally the most common Baten Kaitos doujinshi found out there ( ... )

Suruga-Ya's website, though, seems to have the largest & deepest collection of doujinshi on the net. At this writing, they do have the Yukuga Watashiga doujin in stock. The problem is that their site is Japanese-only. I've used ( ... )
