1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Taught Spanish, worked in a high school, graduated from college

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made any last year and I'm apprehensive about making some this year

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin's wife Kelly, Gloria

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Grandmom, Jose (I wouldn't consider him really close)

5. What countries did you visit?
None sadly

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
More self-confidence, a stable long-term job, an apartment

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory?
No specific date, but I'll always remember the last week of November (Grandmom's death) and the first week of December (Jose's death). So much mourning so quick.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduating college, doing well in French, getting that job at IND

9. What was your biggest failure?
a couple things

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I hurt my arm, probably sprained it. But other than that, nothing.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My iPod :)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
All my friends for being there and caring :)

13. Whose behavior made you feel disappointed?
Can't think of anyone in particular

14. Where did most of your money go?
Credit card bills - gas, food, etc

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about in 2006?
Excited about? My Liberation Theologies course.The IND job.

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
hmmm.....pretty much any Jars of Clay song. I got addicted to them this year :)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you
i. happier or sadder?: not sure
ii. thinner or fatter?: just a tad bit bigger.
iii. richer or poorer?: more money but also more expenses

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Being worry-free

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being a perfectionist

20. How did you spend Christmas?
with both sides of the family

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?
had a crush

23. How many one-night stands?
yeah right.

24. What was your favorite TV programs to watch in 2006?
Didn't watch tons of TV but I like "Heroes"

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I'm frustrated with certain people but I don't hate them.

26. What was the best book you read?
this year - "House of the Spirits" by Isabel Allende

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Jars of Clay

28. What did you want and get?
Jobs!

29. What did you want and not get?
An A in Spanish. Haha.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Chronicles of Narnia, RENT

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
21. Among other things, a stereo for my iPod

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
if the IND job was more long-term

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
I dub it "Ehh.....whatever" but towards the end of the year, it grew into a more professional teacher fashion.

34. What kept you sane?
Faith and good friends.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None at the moment really.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
This year, mostly illegal immigration.

37. Who did you miss?
Grandmom, friends at college (already)

"God works in mysterious ways" (corny as hell, I know)
