after reading your entries I'm very interested in Cole Porter and I think he may be the next person I'll look into (I'm finally rounding out a series of quick reviews on Gilbert and Sullivan).

To make a further statement on Chicago I recently listened to the Original Broadway Cast recording. Am I to understand that the stage play was simply the songs straight through (obviously with action within the song, but with no sections to fill in the unstated bits that are simply said in the movie)? I know this works with many shows but chicago is relatively short.
Having reviewed the songs I do for the most part agree with the directors dropping Mary Sunshine's solo - "Little Bit of Good" which is quite possibly (depending on oppinion) the worst song in the show.
Although I think they should have left in "Class" (they did film it but then cut it due to time).
your thoughts?
