Listened to Funny and greatly anticipate the movie.

Also viewed the majority of a video recording of Contact, which seemed very interesting, but I must read more before I can really say anything I think. It appeared to be a sortof vignette series story...

Yesterday, I listened to !Hero, a futuristic rock musical based on the gospels. From the research Ive been able to do on the internet, I have concluded that it was something of a Chrstian rock concert tour turned musical that featured sevral really high-profile Chrstian music artists in the title roles. Yesterday I did watch the movie 1776, which I went back and forth on. It was really interesting although a little silly and I do love the music but it was extremely long (nearly three hours with very little action and even the songs were few and far between) but from what Ive read online, its a pretty good representation of the stage show and alot ( Read more... )

Like the other Rodgers & Hammerstein's works Ive listened to, I did not particularly like this. Most of them have at least been annoyingly catchy, though, and really I found myself completely devoid of strong feelings either way for The King & I. The Asian theme link is somewhat compelling, but mostly I just didnt care.
