Conveniently forgetting the more certain perils of cacking your pants when an alien appears out of nowhere and starts lecturing you in an accent straight out of the Wurzels.

At a film festival several years back, Ann and I met the late Eddie Powell, the stuntman who wore the original suit. Nice guy, but a bit bonkers: whilst out for a stroll with a couple of the organisers, he demonstrated a stunt by rolling across the path of an oncoming tram.
