Hated it.

Seriously- I mean... who kills off a character without bringing the actor who played her back? You can only do that if Torri actually died. That had better not have been Elizabeth Weir. Because my God- if they brought her character back (and even if they never developed her character well, they established she was part of the family) only ( Read more... )

Hope you don't mind a random visitor!

I, too, disliked the whole 'Is it or isn't Elizabeth Weir?' path. From what I can gather, the PTB had a storyline they wanted to continue with even though they sacked TH and she (as is her absolute right) told them where they could shove their one or two guest spots.

I would much rather have preferred them to drop the ideas entirely rather than trying to have their cake and eat it too. It's an insult and an example of shoddy writing/plotting.

Absolutely! They could have just had Fran come back for this!

Always welcome the drop ins!

Another random drop-in... I also was *very* unhappy with this story, for the same reasons you listed. The only thing that made it "better" (for small values of "better") for me is the fact that it was previously established that Replicators aren't killed when stranded in space, they just shut down. (I suspect the writers forgot this point, of course. Sigh.) So Elizabeth's "solution" wasn't much of one, and we could potentially have some Really Annoyed Replicators returning some day...

That's right, maybe leaving it open for the return of TH? And honestly, if they returned pissed, considering the ones out there did NOTHING to SGA because it was the one who died, Cortazon or whoever, who killed those people, I wouldn't blame them

this episode left me feeling very COLD and icky. I'm so tired of them assuming all replicators are evil. And I LOVED Weir and this is what they decided to do??? can't express my disappointment adequately enough.

I know! I mean- I really liked the idea of civilian authority, and they never really gave her a chance to go with it. Yeah- that's what I felt after the episode- cold and icky and unsatisfied with her ending and really really disgusted with her "friends."
