The birthday weekend celebration has drawn to a close. It was truely one of the most amazing 4 day weekends I've had in a long time.
This weekend was very humbling. I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by such great friends and people who love me. I can not possibly begin to thank every single one of you whom I had contact with this weekend. As I stated, it was amazing. A quick breakdown of events. . .
**I know some of the pictures have red eye which I'd like to fix, but as some of you know my computer has some screen color issues right now which don't allow me to do photo color correction. Deal with it. : P
***If you are in a picture and are not happy it is up here, please let me know, I'll gladly remove it.
Thursday (actual birthday):
At 12:00am there was a knock at my door as my neighbor Halleli greated me with a Happy Birthday. It was great start to the weekend. Work went well with much love from my regulars and a tasty cake from my staff. I got to spend a few minutes with Shannon before she had to leave town. This made me happy since she was unable to hang the rest of the weekend. I went out to dinner with Moriah and Garth at The Top. Yum, yum, yum. We had a few drinks and a great dinner before moving to Durty Nellys for more drinks. Here we met up with Rich, Cyrus, Esther, Eric, Kat, & Troy. There was conversation and pool to make the night a delight. One of my best friends Brian gave me a call for one last Birthday wish after getting home from work and additionally got the chance to talk to Moe and Esther. I wish you were here with Brian! I went home with just the right amount of cider in my system to keep me smiling.

Friday:
I took the day off from work, so slept in a bit before spending some time with Shannon hanging out and chatting the day away. One of the most special things about my birthday was being able to spend time with one of my best friends in the whole world, Lara. She made the trip down from New York City for the weekend to celebrate with me. The two of us have been good friends for several years since I helped her with a few film projects. We were able to spend some time together before heading to Tapas for dinner. So, I originally thought about having a nice intimate dinner with a small handful of people. Okay, the small handful ended up as 21 people joining me for dinner. The food was very good and I enjoyed thee service as well. Food came out at a leisurely pace. It was fun moving around the table to chat with friends and introduce them to Lara. I'm not going to list off everyone who was there, but thank you so much to all of you!!

On to Market St. for 80's night. I remember this evening, I really do. Esther bought me a Long Island Ice Tea and I danced and took pictures. I bought myself a Long Island Ice Tea and got back to the dance floor to recieve another Long Island Ice Tea from Nat. More dancing (a bit less coordinated). Both drinks were downed. Esther bought me another Long Island Ice Tea. A bit more dancing (most of which was to the beat in my head). More pictures. Then as the night drew to a close Moe and Heather gave me a present. A double shot of a Red Headed Slut (if it wasn't a double it was large enough to be). Yep, that was the end of it all. Not a good idea to do the shot. I stumbled to the truck with the keys safely in Lara's hand with Esther in tow. We dropped her off and came home. I took a quick shower in hopes that I would sober up some. Unsuccessful! Let's just say, I don't get sick from drinking, much. Lara took care of me in a very caring maternal way. With a garbage can near my bed and a full pint glass of water on the end stand, I passed out. Literally!
I don't know who these two were, but they wanted to be in a photo with me.
Awww ... pouty Lara!
Esther & Moe. I love this shot.
Some groovy dancing. Check the rocking tattoos!!
Lara is an 80's Dancing Queen!!
Nice dance moves. : )
Hmm .. we grow weary of this Market St. crowd.
Esther thinking about getting her groove on . . .
. . . to join me in busting a move. So hypnotic.
The shot of doom!
Shot is almost gone.
Errr, yeah done for the night. : P
Saturday:
Sleeping in was not an option. For me sleeping in meant 9:30 when I woke up, took two Advil, downed some water, and went back to sleep. I woke up again at 11ish. Hangover non-existant. Crazy! Lara and I went to Iveys for brunch. One of my alll time favorite G-ville brunch spots. So damn good! We bumped into Nat and Dana eating there as well. I think they were stalking us. Mmm Hmm. After which it was back to the house where I was so productive it is silly. Lara went to meet up with a friend and I slept for 2 hours. As an old man I felt it important to rest my bones : P I woke up and spent some good time with Lara talking and just hanging out like we had done so often in the past. I miss her living here! After a while we went to The Top for dinner. That's right ... it's my birthday weekend and I'll eat there as often as I'd like. Come to think of it, it seems much of our time this weekend has been spent eating. Oh well, it made us happy!! We then split up and she went to Maudes to meet up with some old G-vill friends and I went back to Market St. for a second night in a row. I'm beginning to think I am a bit of a creature of habit. Hooray, here I got to meet up with Fran and Shelly who I hadn't seen all weekend. 3 cheers for Buttery Nipple shots with Fran!! Many of the usual crew was there. Much less drinking for me & lot's of great conversation and pool. Fran & I even knocked off Scott! For once he was my bitch at the pool table! (errr ... was mostly luck). A bit of dancing and the night was ended with a ... fight challenge?!?!?! Some douche bag was sitting at the bar in camo hat (red flag), being ... well douchey. He was trying to get Shelley's number and when she explained she was married, he asked why she would want to do a dumb thing like that. He said something along the lines of ... she was too cute to get married. I remarked that he should see how cute her wife is. You know, dumb Casey joke that gets a chuckle more over my silliness than the comedic value of my actual joke. About 45 seconds later the guy exclaims, "Why don't you shut your fucking mouth and mind you're own business before I kick your ass." To which ... I ignored. It amused me how long it took him to respond. We left the club while I kept one eye on Capt. Douche and the other on the door. Feeling as though I was safely outside I recieved a kick to the balls by the Nut-Cracker, Heather. Not entirely undeserved as I made a mean comment to her inside and should have known better. Luckily she missed any major bits and pieces. Shhh ... don't tell her that. Anyway ... in my slightly more sober state I took many, many pictures. Enjoy.
We're best friends, yeah!!
Heather looks devious. Perhaps she wanted to kick me in the balls here too.
Why do I post a picture of the Crotch of Scott? I don't know either.
Perhaps to prepare your for the photographic stylings of Heather. Mmm Hmm Hot asses!!
Crazy Cool Picture of Shelley & I.
Put that thing back in your mouth Fran!
Hooray Goth Night!!
Oooo Artsy!
Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot!!
Dancing Divas!
Sunday
Had rehearsal in the morning which got cut short, so I went home & picked up Lara. We went out for brunch to ... The Top. I know I may have a problem, but it was what she wanted to do, and I wasn't arguing! After brunch we went out for some Sunday vollleyball with many of the regular cast of characters. Other than Chuck bruising my hip with his knee things went well. The games were competitive and we had a chance to play some 3 on 3 which is a nice change of pase from 5 on 5 or 6 on 6. After we went to the home of Rich & Heather for a cookout in celebration of both mine and Nat's birthdays. It was so very nice and relaxing. A good crew with some amazing food!! There were 2 cakes, one from Dana and one from Rich. Delecious!
The Chocolate Orange Cake Rich made.

They both look full and content in this photo. Please note Nat's Red Bull cans.
Chuck and Jenny got into a scrum.

And we cut the cake together.
How romantic!
So that was the weekend. As I stated it was oh so humbliing to be surrounded by so many great people. To all of you who I spent time with this weekend or who sent me a message for my birthday, THANK YOU for making the weekend so special. I look forward to the same next year!
