More than ever, I notice the differences between my computer science classes and my general education classes, in terms of the students that take them.
It's a rare event for the students in my computer science classes to talk so much amongst themselves that they do not even notice that the teacher has begun lecturing. And any that do are immediately called upon by, not only the teacher, but some of the students as well. We're rather behaved and eager to learn.
Now take my fellow students in my history class (or the language class previously). Even more so with this history class, these business majors and arts majors are so absorbed in their conversations that they fail to notice that the teacher has even begun talking, chatting it up loud enough to almost drown out the teacher as well. I want to scream at them, "Shut the fuck up!" but I know that will only create more chaos.
Seriously, these preppy, hip, "cool" kids have no respect or control it seems. I looked at those chatter boxes and they all appear to be 20-21, right in the middle of their college education.
Man, sometimes I hate taking these general ed. classes. They all seem so stupid too!
Anyways...
