I finally spoke to the manager of Buca di Beppo. His action plan for dealing with the debit card mix-up is as follows:

- He called my bank and had the funds released.
- He is mailing me a $10.00 money order to cover the service charge. 
- He is mailing me a gift card.
- He apologized profusely.

Hubster and I had a similar situation with the ice cream place next to Papa Murphy's. Instead of charging 10.68 for a couple of smoothies, they hit the wrong key and charged 106.80. Since the manager wasn't there and since his wife wasn't allowed to know how to cancel a charge, we had to wait until the evening when mgr returned. Ruined the whole day and put both of us in a foul mood.

Sorry you went through this, kiddo. Perhaps we can get together on Memorial Day or soon after?

As for the answer to your previous question, I'd love to (with beldar in tow, of course). Maybe we can get the cook's table when we go. We've been wanting to do that but you need 4 people.

Looking over the calendar (controls my life, you know) Friday the 2nd looks like a possibility. If you'd rather have a weekday evening Thursday the 1st is good. Why don't you call me Monday afternoon or evening and we can hammer out some plans.
