Konjac looks like THAT!%#!

I will never look at konjac (common Japanese thickening agent) gelatin cups the same way again.  It comes from a plant called Amorphophallus konjac if that gives you a clue.   I mean, look at this family of plants!!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amorphophallus

! Eeeeew! Oh my gosh--that's the same family as the Titan Arum (the corpse flower that smells like a rotting corpse and polinates by attracting carrion beetles)!!! How terrible. Is konjac quite as odious? Bleah!

Ach. There are cockroaches in my room now, too--along with mosquitoes, flies and fleas...and some other brown flying bug that I can't identify.
