Characters: Peter/Claude-centric ensemble
Rating/Warnings: Hard PG-13, for violence and peril.
Word count: Just north of 2,000. Apparently, when it comes to fight-scenes, I don't do concise ;P
Spoilers: AU; technically there are little bits and pieces all the way up to 1.23 ("How To Stop An Exploding Man"), but you'd have to know them to see them.

Hmm, I wonder why they're after Peter. Other than he's pretty. ;)
Can't wait for the next part!

Thanks! I hope it was all comprehensible, especially the face-off in the living room between the Haitian, Peter and Claude, and then Matt.

*g* Yeah, there's a shortage of hot men, so they're rounding 'em all up.
Thanks for reading!

It was not only comprehensible, it was awesome. ;) I especially loved Peter being unable to control Matt's power and buckling under everything that was suddenly streaming into his head. Of course protective!Claude was great as always, too. This is probably more coherent than before. *laughs* I was sick and tired but decided to review anyway and that's never a good thing.

I'd round Peter up, too. ;) I'm figuring they somehow know about what his power is though, but I'm not sure how since Peter himself doesn't know. I'm looking forward to finding out. *laughs* Either way, he's probably in deep crap right now.

It's a lot for him to take on board at once, poor pet.

Protective!Claude rocks my socks :)

Hey, that's OK. Everyone's allowed a little sick and tired ;)

Yeah, he kind of is! ;-( And all will be revealed, eventually ... ;)

Oh, there's more. *laughs, maniacally*. OK, so I haven't written it yet, but ...
Thanks for reading! Glad you enjoyed.

You've gotta do action more often.
Seriously? OMG. Maybe when I've recovered from this ;)

And Peter and Claude. Wow.
All the things he's ever done, all the situations he's ever been in, have been essentially soluble in invisibility. Take that away, and Claude Rains is just a man. Even though Claude heads immediately into kicking ass, that part made me wibble a bit. That would be the trouble with having powers, especially that one: rely on it too much and eventually it starts to completely define who you are. Good thing Claude recognizes that the "just a man" part of him is pretty hardcore awesome too. XD ( ... )

Hooray for Bennet(ti) being wicked amazing and protecting his little girl; Bennet's badassery is kind of one of my secret weaknesses.
He's so very cool when he's being all protective. Actually, scratch that - he's very cool, period.
Clara's completely scarred for life, though, seeing Papa morph into a stone killer.
Not as scarred as she is by what happened to him.
You did really good with her this chapter; I liked it a lot.
Thank you - I feel that's the weakest section, actually, because I don't have a lot of space in this to write her how she is in the series. You know, with cheerleading and snappy comebacks and stuff.
And Peter and Claude. Wow.
They're the man!

Yeah. You're quite right - I think Claude has spent a long time defining himself in terms of his powers. But yeah, at least he's still hardcore awesome without his invisibility! :D
waaaay bad things ( ... )
