Glad you liked and I hope I didn't trample too much on your favourite characters.

But Peter's pleading expression softens him; so hard to refuse his younger brother anything, and he feels a twinge of guilt that the life he has chosen is so incompatible with Peter's.
NATHAN. Oh, Nathan, you can change that, you know! You can--well, pretty much the only way he would is to pull the same trick he did in the finale, but you never know! He could get creative! He could and he's going to because you are not going to let Nathan stay like this for the entire story. I believe this to be true; do not dissuade me from my faith.

I nicked it from my old (Jewish) roommate, who was Jonathan and shortened it to Tani. But somehow I figured it could work for Nathaniel (does it? work, I mean?)
Morally-ambiguous Nathan is better than no Nathan.
Nathan is almost always morally ambiguous. Don't you prefer him like that? ;)

You're in a bad way, dear ;)

Personally, I think of it the same way I think of using "Nate"--yeah, nicknames are fun, but Nathan's not the kind of guy who has nicknames. Peter might be the kind of guy who gives nicknames, but until we actually see Nate used in the show--and I don't think it has been--I just don't really believe it works.

Yes, yes, but I also prefer him when he's not making decisions that might seriously hurt people I like. Which is not something he does often, admittedly, but he frequently considers it, and I find that vaguely distressing. So. I don't actually know. I just know that I really, really like him.

Gee, ya think? (My ears perk up whenever I hear about the Dixie Chicks now. Because, you know, Adrian Pasdar is married to one of them...I'm hopeless.)

That makes perfect sense to me. I don't know if I'd do it writing in the Heroes 'verse ... but I'm gonna take the liberty here.

I love the dual (and conflicting) overprotective natures Nathaniel and Claude have. The two of them snarking at each other silently is a lot of fun to read.
...Monty has a strange name. The poor kid. Ah, well. It happens.
I wonder how you'll work around the entire Meredith situation; certainly right now doesn't feel like the right time. Too much going on. Still, Clara going on a search for her real mother? It's gonna be pretty cool.
Somehow, I have this mental picture of Clara meeting Meredith in a prison. Since Meredith's a special, and Clara is on the run...and I don't see Danil and Nicole being able to hide Clara forever. But then, I also see Nathaniel running into Meredith at a prison while looking for the Bennettis. Regardless--it's up to you what happens, not me.
I hope to read more soon!

"Monty" is pretty strange to begin with! I had a look online and Montague turns out to be French ... so I hedged ;)

Yeah - that's for later, I think.

I really haven't worked out how that's going to play yet.

This is an interesting idea, and I may steal it! Thank you :)
Should be another chapter up later today :)

Is it odd that I love the nickname of "Tani"? It's a very Peter-esque choice and I'm glad you're using it. Gives another layer between their relationsip.
"Yes, it's very exciting. Come on." The words sarcastic, but the tone affectionate.
Typical Claude. ;)

*g* No, it's not odd. I'm glad you like it! I'm not sure it's working for everyone, so a vote on the side of "yay" is good :)
Typical Claude. ;)
Peter hasn't declawed (deClaude!) him completely ;)

Peter is the type to give nicknames and Nathan would certainly allow them for the sake of his brother. I believe it fits.
