Dang. That sucks... Maybe there was just too much static? Did you use a dry sheet or something like that? Either that or you mixed gasoline or crap into your laundry by accident.

Hope things work out! By the way - I added you to my friends list, hope you don't mind.

No no no...add away! I'll do the same!

No, I can guarantee you - no flammable, combustilbe, or explosive substances on my comforter (OK, insert dirty comment here:).

It seems to have been a malfunction of the dryer...but oddly enough, the manager of the stor didn't call me back - I'm guessing he doesn't know how to handle the situation - but believe me, if he gives me ANY shit...I'll be having a very professional conversation with their insurance company that handles their liability. :-) If you look on macy's.com - you can find the Calvin home collection - mine is the grey stripe comforter...

And of course, I'll be updating as this drama unfolds...

Cheers!

Mark

Wow - well, this was 3 years ago but I'm betting they hadn't cleaned the lint trap and it was the lint that started the fire...

What was the outcome of this?

LOL...holy hell - I was just talking about this little incident this week. I *DID* just add you, though my LJ is a bit sparse lately...I keep thinking I'll get back into it, but well, it hasn't happened yet.

The short of it is I filed a complaint with the BBB - they ignored the complaint, the BBB dropped their membership, and that was that. I was out of a very expensive comforter....
