As part of the Third Reich's eugenics program to create a "master race" SS officers were encouraged to father as many children as possible with girls who exhibited desirable "Aryan" physical characteristics, such as blond hair and blue eyes. Lebensborn homes were places set up where these (usually unmarried) girls could go for help and support, and to have their babies away from the stigma of being an unwed mother. These children were usually either given up for addoption into Third Reich approved homes, or given over to the German state to be raised and educated by the Reich.

History lesson over...How are you darling? Are you well and happy? I hope so! I miss you! Best wishes always...Liggy
