Half expected

Not even a week into being here I've realized that Neuroscience is not for me. I can't go through PreMed, Med school, blah blah blah. Too much science, anatomy, not enough math. I love math, I love diagrams and drafting and knowing how things work ( Read more... )

architectural engineering is what i planned on doing, but they don't offer it here so i'm just starting out in interdisiplinary engineering. let me know how it is. hope you're having fun

Interdisiplinary engineering sounds like it'll be a good option since you'll be able to do a lot of things with the degree. I'll let you know how it goes, definitely. And I'm having fun so far but it's also hard to meet fun people who aren't just looking for the next opportunity to get wasted. I think it'll all get better once classes start and I'm around like-minded people (hopefully). When do your classes start? Are you already in Gainesville?

Wow that sucks. A lot. That sounds like something you hear but would never think actually happened but... ouch. How's UCF treating you?

ah, college sounds fun and confusing already, i did the same thing at orientation I thought i MIGHT want to be a chiropractor, but after i saw all the math and chemistry involved in Biology, I'm switiching my major to psych (or maybe something else?) ASAP

p.s. I still stand by you going into graphic design

Yeah if you're thinking of changing do it ASAP because a lot of classes fill up fast and it's hard to change without getting admins to override stuff. I think you'd like psych, but if you don't, no harm in switching anyway. And I still stand by graphic design as a hobby. If I were to go artsy I'd move to SCAD, and I'd hate to switch universities entirely. HAVE SOME FAITH, I think I'd make a fine engineer.

I think so too, and I think you can be very creative with archetecture anyway so its actually a greta choice for you, way beter than premed where i was curious because you said that one time and you had never taken much interest in health sciences before haha, I support you 100% because as long as ive know you you've been good at math, drawing, and constructing things, you are organized and NEAT, so you have my support and I miss you :(

I looked through my books today and really, I am making the perfect choice. I have one book that I can draw in with weird isometric grids and one that incorporates engineering with C++ (computer thing)... Just looking through them makes me excited about starting classes and eventually learning everything the books have.

And yeah, don't party too hard. I dunno about you but I've gotta keep a minimum GPA to keep coming here on my scholarship; no way am I jeopardizing that.
