If I were the one who decided how headlights should be designed on cars, I'd make them red.  This is because red light doesn't affect your night vision.  So after a small adjustment period, you'd be able to see even better with red headlights than white ones.  I might also add a UV bulb, because white objects "pop" more under UV light, so it would

Hehe. If I were designing headlights I'd just abolish them, so I could finally see things at night properly and not have my eyes feel like fire afterward, and everyone else would just evolve better eyes ... eventually. :)

Heh.... my husband designed headlights for a number of years. He could probably tell you more than you ever wanted to know about them.
