ALL RIGHT

... as they say on the telly wordscreens.

I've decided, for the mean time, what I want to do with myself as far as college goes. I want to definitely, no matter what, get an MFA in Creative Writing, and then a PhD in either 20th-Century Studies, Film & Media Studies, Literature & Psychology, or just take an Individualized Track ( Read more... )

If you apply to different colleges, and you get accepted by a few, then can you just choose then, after they've said you'll be accepted? I mean, you don't have to make up your mind before you know if you've been accepted?

If this sounds weird, it's only because it kinda is. Here, you fill in a form saying all the courses you want to do, based on exams results, but if you don't get the required results for the things you want to do - tough. You have to either take a different course or sit your exams again, there's no knowing really...

Yeah, that's usually what you do. That's why I'm applying to all of these(and I'm pretty sure I'll be accepted to all) and I'll decide between them. For instance, if I decide to not involve myself with English at all, I'll go to Ringling, which is an all-arts school.

... is that what you were saying?

I'm rather confused.

Sorry...it's late...and bleh...dammit I can't even follow it all now. Erm, yeah, I think that's what I was saying...it's just that you can't really apply to several colleges here, not realistically speaking, the system's too fucked up, so my tired-ness made me surprised when you said you could choose colleges and stuff...

Anywho...forget it, I'm just ramblin'...lol...

Really? Oh man, that sucks. So, if you applied to one and you got rejected you have to wait a year?

Yeah, here people can apply to as many as they want, though it's recommended that you only apply to 5 at most. At least, according to my guidance counselor.
