Paxman <> Man Of Peace...

Jeremy Paxman has been conducting a series of interviews with the three main party leaders this week. They've been showing at 7.30pm on BBC1 too, not shoved away in the 10.30pm Newsnight slot on BBC2. I was going to scribble down a few thoughts about them when, searching for a transcript to refresh my memory I found the BBC was posting them online. That absolutely rocks. Proper public service broadcasting on all fronts!

Speaking of which, OMFG regular Newsnight online. Where have I been that I didn't notice this before?

Blair's interview was last night, but doesn't seem to be up yet. In the unlikely event of anyone watching one of these, that's easily the one to go for. You know, since he's going to win and all. Half-watching the Kennedy interview again, I revised my initial opinion of how badly mauled he was by the celebratedly pugnacious Paxman. It's a shame that relatively few people will get/take the opportunity to have a second look at it. Kennedy's unintentional harried reference to "the sun setting on business" rather than "regulation" is still painful to hear though XD

Before the campaign started, I was a bit worried that my only two substantial sources of (pre-)election coverage were the BBC and News International in all its forms. I meant to make a conscious effort to diversify, but haven't actively done so yet. Still time to broaden my outlook, I guess :/Note that Scott Kurtz has a wife, and w/out her, he'd just be another worthless fat man...
