Forbes came out with a new college ranking list. Like always it is subjective and full of crap but it does put New College as the third best public school in the US after the Naval and Air Forces Academies. We are number one in Florida and number 29 of all schools, public or private. We just get frustrated at how little recognition we get ( Read more... )

It just gets worse and worse. I sent the info to the right person and he e-mailed me to tell me it isn't enough and says that the program I applied for is Master's level... there was nothing to distinguish it from any other programs so it leads me to believe that they are all Masters programs and if that it true why the hell are they part of an ( Read more... )

I (along with David) am a member of a vegetarian LJ community, and I have to say that I absolutely love the vegetarian/vegan bitch fest that goes on. This community is full of the biggest ego-inflated, self-righteous, sanctimonious assholes ever and it is awesome! Today I had an appointment to get my eyes checked which completes all of the doctor's appointments thankfully. I don't need new glasses but for the first time I asked how bad my vision is. The doctor cheerfully told me. My left eye isn't so bad but I am like legally blind in my right eye. Thankfully we have two eyes! No one had actually ever told ( Read more... )

So far my Summer hasn't been too bad but not great. Ups and downs. I've read a few new books, finished watching the last season of House (which was really good) and started watching Weeds. So University of St. Andrews (in Scotland) has a Junior semester/year abroad program that I want to go to quite badly. I dunno if I can afford it though.
