Though I have indeed seen some mighty fine fauxhawks and became green in their glory... I can't help but think that for way too many people its going to be one of those haircuts that in a decade or two will be looked back on and ridiculed... one of those "what was I thinking" fashion moves ( Read more... )

Well thank you. At first I read this and thought, "Oh, that makes me sad, because it is probably true." And then I thought, "But it makes me feel confident and I haven't loved my hair in a long time like I've loved this hair." And then I saw your addendum and I thought, "Aww, thank you. It's weird to think I can rock anything, but apparently I can."

So does that mean I have a nice jawline?

Ruby thinks that fauxhawks are cool, but I try and discourage her from trying to have one. But I try and discourage all her punky ways, ha ha.

Any hairstyle that needs some sort of gel or hairspray isn't worth it. Do fauxhawkers use some sort of hair product?

yeah, unless you didn't wash your hair for a while, or unless you had crazy hair like graham's, it'd be hard to do. I personally would never get one, because i can see myself not taking the necissary steps to getting it to hold all day. Alas, i'm sure around 3 it'd start to droop and it'd look like i just shoved all my hair into the middle with my hands...

I use a little pommade, and so does graham... and a hairdryer can do amazing sculpting things. But when its like a pea sized bit of product + daily dirt, its no big thing.

unfortunately, right now I'm in between lengths and I can't get it to do anything.
