Another overheard conversational snippet-- two couples playing Trivial Pursuit:
OK, 'What is the largest body of freshwater in the continental United States outside of the Great Lakes?'
Um, what?
(The questioner repeats the question, twice.)
'Outside the Great Lakes'? Wait, wait ( Read more... )

I think we should stage-- just in time for the holiday season-- "A Christmas Carol, Bro", where Eb "Skeeter" Scrooge is asleep in his condo when over the course of one night, he is visited by some ghosts and stuff, and they remind him that he used to excel keg-stands and corn-hole and used to be fucking awes like, when he was in college but now he's got a job and fam and junk that are making him like, totally weak.

I would guess that it's Lake Champlain, but I'm almost positive that it's not the Pacific Ocean.
But hey, you know, I didn't go to college or anything, I've never been Earth orbit so what do I know? Maybe it is the Panama Canal!

The only way that could have been funnier is if the responder had said the Great Salt Lake.

Hi, I come from Hal's blog and we've probably never met. My name's Adan. How do you do?

Veddy well, thank you. Since I am purely a construct of the internet and have no corporeal form, I have met virtually none of the people on my friend's list. Therefore, I have not met Hal, either. In fact, I don't even know who Hal is! Embarrassing, yes, but that's life in the hard drive. (I friend people based on whether or not I like reading their posts, and if they seem like a hoot. So I really don't know any of these people. How are you this evening?)
