It’s been a hard year to pick a top ten. I’ve got a list of worthy mentions that has 11 albums in it - all of them worth a spot in the top ten in any normal year. Utterly spoilt for quality and choice this year. So without further adieu...

Bloody Urfaust! Where can I order their albums from? I've emailed Goatowarex a few times about Urfaust discs and some other stuff and the bastard never responds.

Got the Fen album in the mail a few days ago... it's been pleasant enough to have on in the background but I haven't given it a proper listen. But man, those clean vocals are aaaaawful. :(

Will buy that DsO as soon as I find it for a reasonable price. :P

I got an album from Northern Silence (geist ist tuefel (sp?)) ages ago. I got the split they did with circle of Orouboros from e-bay I think, or maybe some scabby little German distro. I get emails from a few places that I don't remember subscribing to, and I think it was some of them I bought Urfaust stuff from ;)

They should definitely stick to the rougher wocals with Fen. They suit the music, and yeah, clean might be ok if it weren't so brain meltingly bad - and out of place.

Pretty sure TheEnd had the double version, or somewhere did, for US$18, and each individual one for US$11. which is actually pretty good. Maybe it was plastichead? I dunno. It was somewhere. It is worth getting a sample of whilst you await a real copy, it is superb. Carries on in the vein of Si and Fas, but just more.. i dunno.. sorted. Even though its less coherent at parts, and long comparatively, its just more bettererer.

I will create a DVD of doomy doom doom and include stuff as well as the non-metal stuff :D

I think that's the one I was after, Geist Ist Teufel or whatever it is. Have you tried ordering from Goatowarex? The prices are really cheap, but yeah, it's just the matter of the guy responding. :P

Yep, The End have it for just under $12, not bad! I think I may have to order... definitely wouldn't be cheaper at Plastichead, paying in the pound (then their postage) is kinda crazy.

Woohoo for DVD! Looking forward to that. :) Did you hear about the new WITTR EP + album coming out in February and March? New logo kinda sucks but I'm keen as hell to hear the new stuff!

haha yeah. His hair has receded a bit now, but they are still good and cheesy but sometimes brilliant. They actually make some pretty good video clips, not nearly as cheesy as some of the band photos and imagery they use, and actually really well filmed etc - worth seeing.

I am going to see if I can dl these albums. Judging from your amusingly good taste in music (most of which is mine too) I imagine I may like a lot of this stuff.
