One but not the other

Some people still seem to have trouble getting it through their thick skulls that people like me who dislike Obama do so not out of racism, but do it simply because of some strange internal desire not to get screwed.

Call me crazy.

Don't be silly, Mike, all loopy right-wingers are racist. And homophobic, and sexist. And eat babies. And turn into man-beasts on the night of the full moon.

I think you would have hated whoever got "lucky enough" to be president after the Bush administration. Clean-up ain't easy.

What kind of "clean up" involves screwing the economy even further, ignoring the laws of your country's government and ignoring the citizens who object to your disastrous policies?

George W. had an incredibly hard job, being president during a difficult time. He worked to protect this country and took a ton of crap from all sides; I honestly think it's sad how few people appreciate what he did do. Yeah, he made mistakes. Obama is making bigger ones.

Not really. While I didn't entirely disagree with everything Bush did, much of what Obama is doing is the opposite of what I think he should do (based on looking at history and the fact that what he's trying to do has been tried before, and really doesn't work).

At the same time, I blame Congress for the mess we're in. They're the ones in charge of spending policy more so than the president, and they're the ones who really created this mess in the first place. Except now Obama agrees with their messed up policies.
