Hi. Let's see, what's goin' on. Well, I sold my rental property last Monday. Yay! No more worrying about tenants. We actually sold it to our current tenant, who was a former roommate of Josh's. I'm with you on the hating to wake up early thing (though with us it's the toddler appearing at dawn and crawling into our bed, cue wriggles and punches and no more sleep.) It kills the evening for work, for sure (See I can do repeats too)

Hang in there, good news re the rental. I'm trying to rent out my ground floor studio room at the mo. Not an easy task - people say yes and don't turn up or pay. What gives

Thanks. Some advice on the rental, if you haven't done it before: do a credit check or whatever the NZ equivalent is. Best guarantee you can find that they'll actually pay rent once they're moved in. I still have a guy who owes us $3300 for 4 months he didn't pay before moving out and leaving all his stuff behind.

You're right. I've rented out before and not had any problems, but that means nothing... This guy works in the same company as my husband so he can find him and beat him up ;)

Oh, the guy that owes me $3300 worked in the row in front of me, about ten desks to the left. That helped nada. :-)

Good luck though. I'm just glad to be through with it and wouldn't wish landlordhood on anyone at the moment. But that will pass.
