Life has normalized a bit. I cashed out my 401K, so I have money in the bank. And tomorrow I start a temp job at a piddly $15 an hour. But that will pay the bills so I don't have to use up all the 401K money. It's nice to be able to breath again, even if it does mean I'll be working phone support for the first time in my life. Hang in there. The times will get better... and meanwhile working with friends is a real bonus. ;)

Yeah, I'm going to try to have fun. And also, the hiring manager was really interested in my work history. So something better and permanent could come of it. Then again, my two friends have been hoping the same thing and they've both been there since last July.

Whatever happens, happens. This whole whirlwind of joblessness that I've been going through on and off since I was laid off in Oct 2008 has only stressed the fact that I don't want a career. I want to be a writer. :-) Now that the stress levels are down, my brain is working again. I will resume the writing.
