I bought a battery charger for my dead car battery, but it didn't work.  I got an error message on the display saying that the battery is basically dead.  So I need to go buy a new battery.   I don't understand how a battery can completely die after only 2.5 years.  That isn't a long time for a car battery, as far as I understand.  At least I don't ( Read more... )

I almost made it to the bank yesterday. I got dressed and went to my car and everything.  But wouldn't you know it, my car battery was completely dead.  I haven't figured out why yet.  I didn't leave the lights on.  Bummer.

I managed to get Arya to the vet.  I had appointments for both Arya and Charlie, but two cats at once was overwhelming.  They went into the carriers on their own - Arya in the nice one I bought at PetSmart, and Charlie in the cardboard box one.  They both started whining when I closed the carriers and brought them out to my car.  I figured the vet ( Read more... )

I actually made my cats appointments with the vet for Monday.  I'm so proud of myself.  No more kittens!

It's January, and I've been telling myself since October that I would start job hunting in January.  Now I'm finding it hard to keep that promise.  My main concern is that I'm only qualified to be a CS supervisor, and I don't want to do that anymore.  But any other line of work I find will not pay as well since I'll be starting at the bottom.  I ( Read more... )

Without a job to structure my day, my schedule always gets all wonky.  A couple weeks ago, I fixed it by forcing myself to stay awake all night and all day until sundown.  I was able to maintain that normal schedule for about two weeks.  But the inevitable always happens.  I stay awake later and later each night until I'm not going to bed until 6 ( Read more... )

I'm a really irresponsible pet owner.  I didn't get my cats fixed when they were young, and this past summer that resulted in kittens.  My neighbor got Terry fixed while I was on vacation in New Jersey this past August, and she also took 5 of the kittens to the shelter.  I'm sure they're dead by now.  But she wasn't able to catch one of the kittens ( Read more... )

At least I got some good news today.  Shortly after getting home from the condo, I got an email from my tax preparer.  He's been doing my taxes since February.  It's my fault since I never get him the documents he asks for in a reasonable amount of time.  Well I finally gave him the final 1099 form from Etrade for 2005 that he needed a few days ago ( Read more... )
