Devoting a bit of time & LJ space to my other creative endeavours. :-)

Amongst them are cross-stitch, jewellery making (overlaps with beadwork & polymer clay beadmaking), bridal headpiece/veil design, photography, perfume making (also overlaps with aromatherapy at times), cooking, and gardening. I also freelance as ( Read more... )

why, you are so welcome! I have a whole bunch of awesome communities! LOL!

I would suggest that once you are serious about perfume making, you can open your own shop--and community to promote!

Keep me posted! :c)

Some of my stuff will be sold locally- I am doing a certain "bride's stress package" of bath salts, bath gel & lotion, with possible incense and perfumes to go along that line. A lot of my brides & MOBs & bridal party gals are interested in that, especially when I regale them with all my wedding horror stories collected from years in the bridal biz. :-)

I adore perfume making, have been tinkering with it for some fifteen years now, but it hs been only recently where I have had the means to splurge on the really pricey EO's like larger bottles of Neroli, Rose Otto and such. :-) Before it was 2mm bottles of the expensive oils, and those don't go far.

I'll definitely keep you posted- I am excited about the evolution of that spicy-citrus oriental scent I'm working on; it is definitely one that is turning out to be far more "professional" than many of the others I've made over the years. Making notes here keeps me fired up!

I really loved "Poison" and wore it for years, then I went on a Calvin Klein kick for about a decade and went from wearing "Escape" to "Contradiction" to "Eternity". I also began wearing Elizabeth Arden's "Green Tea" as a summer scent- I tend to have a few scents I rotate between, depending on mood & occasion ( ... )

Wait a minute- I now wear "PURE Poison" by Christian Dior, dammit, not "HYPNOTIC Poison". I am a dumbarse. :-( Good thing I just looked in my perfume cabinet, eh?

Anyhoo- I tried on "Hypnotic Poison" and I think it was too heavy for me, IIRC. I know another one I tried on that day was too "young", if you get my drift- I was looking for that balance of sexy/sophisticated/subtle, and age appropriate.
