my food obsession

Going on a diet sucks... Well I guess it's not really a diet, but a "life-style change" as my dietitian puts it. The problem is I'm still in college, swamped with my senior project, and let's face it-lazy. It's to easy to just order a pizza or stop by and get some fast food ( Read more... )

Might I recommend weight watchers to you? Heinz makes frozen dinners that have point values printed on the box. So a small pizza is 8 points, but still tastes great. Or there is strawberry shortcake, only 2 points, yet tastes like it is the real thing.

Nice thing about weight watchers is that you eat what you want but in moderations.

It's $40 a month, but that gives you meetings every week with others, and a guide (who by the way can only a guide if they themselves have gone through weight watchers and have lost the weight they wanted). You get a book that helps you determine point values for foods, access to internet points calculator, and a few other odds and ends.

Megan, Matt, and I (Steve) plan on doing this soon here. Though I need a job first. And no I'm not a weight watchers sales person.

actually, i'm using this website www.sparkpeople.com it's kinda like that, but it's free and you keep track of calories that way. While I'm still at Purdue i'm taking advantage of the free dietitian to use as a consultant. I'm doing better now, it's that whole needing 21 days to get the hang of it thing. Good luck with weight watchers. In the meantime check out that site.
