Ride or Die, H/Hr, even if we're NOT canon.

Yes, I know. I'm probably going to get called stupid by some, and idiotic by others...in addition to the word Delusional that has been thrown at my ship already in an uncalled for measure.

No. Ship. Is. Sunken. Until. Those. That. Ship. It. Leave. Fandom. Completely.

And y'know something?

I'm not going anywhere.Because this ship is effing ( Read more... )

jkr, h/hr, interviews, canon? who cares!

Gosh, I completely agree with you. I plan to stay on this ship no matter what. I've invested too much of my time and effort to simply jump ship at a time like this. The way she did so was a bit unsettling, but whatever. I never really expected it to happen during Hogwarts either. Fanon ♥

The pairing itself is not bad, in fact, it's actually rather tolerable to me now. If JK does it based upon what we saw of the two after Dumbledore's funeral, I will be fine with it.

Word! I thought it was actually very sweet the way he was comforting her. It's some of the shippers that made me dislike it.

Me and Amy talked and we're still gonna write. We certainly aren't jumping any ship, anywhere! :)

I knew it was comming, but now I know for sure that I will never see Ron/Luna in canon, when I actaully had expected it. Fan fiction is lovely though, and can be written forever. This is nearly as bad as X-files fandom got when the shippers and the non-shippers were going insane about Scully and Mulder.

I don't think it's so obvious in PoA - I'd have to go read it again; it's been a while. I think that where it begins to get blatant is in GoF and onward, actually.

And word to what you've said about no ship is sunk until all those who ship i t leave. As you know, I write A LOT of pairings, and they are all pairings I enjoy. Do I think they're all going to be canon? Hell no. :)) But I write them anyway becuase I love them and I love being able to put them together how I want them to be put together. Plain and simple. Have I been rooting for R/Hr to be canon since the beginning? Hell yes. But I also love H/Hr and I WRITE H/Hr. Just because they aren't going to be canon doesn't mean I'm going to stop writing them. It's putting them together the way YOu want to that's the thrill of it all. And people leaving fandom because H/Hr isn't getting together or Tonks/Remus 'sunk' Remus/Sirius is just crap. That shows me that those people weren't in it for the story, they were only in it for the shipping, and tha'ts sad ( ... )

WORDDDDD! I'm not even done with reading the book yet (because I'm slow and a loser..), but from what I've read so far (about halfway through), I just had to ask myself: "what R/Hr?" All I'm seeing so far is jealousy, and not "real" relationship. I don't really care about what happens in HBP, or really, what happens in book 7. For me, H/Hr will always be the OTP, the deeper, grown-up, long-lasting relationship that two people can only find after they get some life experiences (individually and together). [/rant]
