Just...someone show me in Prisoner of Azkaban how it's so obvious that they'd be the ones to end up together, please. If you can do that I will never complain about R/Hr again. Especially as JK said that's how long it's been obvious.

The argument about Scabbers/Crookshanks was a clinch for me. Some people saw animosity - some saw unresolved romantic feelings. Both are valid views.

It's been a long haul, hasn't it. I'm glad that it won't be ending anytime soon, either.

Wow. That is about all I can say. I totally agree with you. Just because a ship isn't canon doesn't mean it doesn't have merit and isn't enjoyable. I enjoy Ron/Hermione as well as Harry/Hermione, though I will admit I am more of a fan of H/Hr. Honestly, I can deal with just about any ship (even slash) if it is written well, but even H/Hr just pisses me off when it is written poorly. The more people gloat the more explosions we shall have.

And Jo was agreeing with such strong words as, "militant"? I find that very un-Jo-like. Probably just going with the flow. Obviously, some H/Hr shippers are almost militant about it. Most with sense could at least make an educated guess that Ron and Hermione would end up together.

Well..it depends on what kind of icon you're looking for.

I have made some Ron icons before, but not many recently.

teh_indy has made some good ones, I know, and you could probably look around for Ron icon communities for them.
