[She seems to be eating something. Something with a bit of crunch. In the dim light, they look kinda like pretzel sticks, or maybe Cheetos. She's got a big bowl of'em. She could totally share ( Read more... )

It's something different, for sure. You know, the media a culture produces says a great deal about them.

Of course this is all from one person.

Aside of the cultural implication, its also just plain hilarious. To think she had the time to record all of this?

I think some of it is live.

Like the cooking program. I wonder how those prinnies she was preparing actually taste.

*Here, have a visibly strained Tasuku suddenly barging into the room.*

TV! I've heard there's a very important message on the TV!

*Generic anime Empty Stomach sound goes here.*

Gah, too much work, I forgot I haven't eaten lunch today yet... Sorry, can I get some of those?
*Gestures towards the bowl.*

Entertaining? That? *motions toward the TV*

It's certainly different. It's parody, which can reveal some interesting aspects of the source material that otherwise go easily unnoticed.

*joins you*

This person again. I'm not sure why she's still harassing Earth, but even minor annoyances like this are proof that she can do far more dangerous things.

Hm?

*...the crunching is kind of making her hungry...*

Hmmm.

Last time she was here, I heard she said something about how she'd be back for vengeance, so...

Then this would be her idea of vengeance? All things considered, while this does cause an upset in mass communications and probably the economy due to a strange loss in ad revenue, this isn't so bad. You're probably right. She could do worse.

[Zoe walks up.]

Man, they let anybody on TV nowadays. Why are you even watching this garbage, Alex?

It's indicative of another, to earth undiscovered, culture. I'm thinking about writing a paper about it and submitting it to some journals.

Just looks like trash TV to me. This is why I don't tend to watch television.

I mostly just watch documentaries and some films, but this is, well... it's parody.
