Hey, everyone remember how that giant pyramid came by last week and challenged us to an ancient Egyptian game? Well, I've been studying the tablets that we won from it, and the the stone used for the tablets seems to be legitimately ancient, matching the kinds of stone that the Pharaoh's tombs were built from.

The carving on some of the tablets ( Read more... )

Oh my, is it so amazing that you're dumb struck by it?

Not really. But I figured you earned that response and I wasn't sure anyone else would actually say it.

It is pretty too long, didn't read, but what could I do? I'm writing a book on this. It's hard to distill it much more than this, even after going over a few times.

History is always fascinating, at least so long as it is taught well.

It's long, and it's about something I have to fight alongside. It's probably worth knowing.

Hmmm... The combat capabilities are much more in my experience than in my writings.

This is intriguing, although really more confusing than anything else. This is why I generally leave the archaeology to others and stick to guard duty.

Although...a unicorn horn as a weapon? Why do I feel like I've heard that somewhere before...

Is it possible for me to make it more clear somehow?

Also, if you recall where, please do tell me.

It was most likely a children's story.

As for making it more clear, I think I can summarize - Hildebrand and its counterpart Asmund were found in ancient times and excavated for combat purposes, then reburied. Hildebrand used to have a special weapon that is now lost. At some point, Hildebrand fought a foe that could not be killed, merely defeated, and will have to deal with it again in the future, though it's unclear whether or not that's already happened. Other than that, you're still fairly clueless.

Is that about right?
