I am not sure it would be your thing either. I am not even sure how well it would translate because so much of the pleasure of it is how it evokes the time. Plus, I think you would lose patience with Dexter's dickishness. It is well-written though.
Thanks for the book rec, although it's not available in the US yet. I've stashed in on my wish list, and it's certainly NOT as though I don't have 180 (probably close to actual number) books languishing in my to be read mountain to keep me amused until the US release.
