Brazil was my favorite movie for a very, very long time -- I think more than 20 years. Eventually I decided I was sufficiently cranky about the gender politics that it could topple from its pedestal, but I don't know that I could name another movie I've ever loved more.

Maybe Oscar and Lucinda or Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Maybe.

And you're right -- shockingly prescient, for sure.
