My heart will always be broken, the albums remain on the top shelf gathering dust (apart from the last two and that horrid techno abomination, that with which I can so definitely live without). And yet, I too return, and if nothing else, bask in the glory that was posts such as this. Of the six new tunes, I expect good stuff from track 3, and that's about it. Once bitten and all the rest...

Oh, I know, I know. I wish I didn't care. I wish the ratings hadn't been so good because they vindicate precisely the wrong person. I think that, like you mentioned in your post, I've read just one interview too many with a showrunner I subsequently wished to defenestrate. (Defenestrate AT MINIMUM)

I would quit my job, by a van and follow the band around the country on a never-ending reunion tour, if it meant getting to read posts like this one on a regular basis.

Indeed! Sort of like how neighbors only ever get around to talking to each other when everyone comes out of their houses after a natural disaster.
